VDP SYSTEM (Virtual Data Processing) patents EP1666251 (B1) – US8037819 (B2), developed for UNICA 343 VM and UNICA 340 VM, enables the automatic detection of the references (microdots or crosses) by means of motorized cameras and the digital storage of the mounting job. It uses job files in 1:1 real scale and allows for the control of the mounting job in register without the need of a proof on paper with inks.

The UNICA and OMNIA machines are equipped with a patented rotation transmission system for the cylinders and/or sleeve mandrels of flexographic gearless printing presses.
The AQCS laser unit (Automatic Quality Control System – patent pending), available on models UNICA 343 VM and UNICA 340 VM, controls and measures the tolerances of the sleeves, carriers, mandrels, anylox, tapes and plates to optimize the printing quality and speed.

The products of OMNIA range are equipped with a patented optical system (Image Mounting System) comprising of a combination of mirrors and cameras for mounting printing plates with or without references (microdots or crosses). This system allows for the correcting of errors during the mounting process. OMNIA 338 is equipped with a patented compression device to eliminate air bubbles for the in round mounting.
